Monsalve gained fame in the role of lead singer for the girl group Chikas and in the popular bands Tartara in Venezuela as well as Latin Fiesta in London, England. More than a period in time, Monsalve was the host of Alo RCTV's morning TV show in Caracas. In 2002, she moved into the United States, where she was a part of numerous commercials and stage productions including Esther at The Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center. Within a few months she was appointed Hispanic Spokesperson at the furniture giant Rooms to Go. Monsalve was appointed the Sports Anchor for Telemundo's local Orlando affiliate from 6:00 pm on the night of 2005. Monsalve began her career with ESPN in 2007 when she was named Sports Anchor for ESPN Deportes. She also was a broadcaster on ESPN 2 Central America, South America, as well for Sports Center Hispanics viewers. In November of 2014, she made public her decision to quit ESPN after which she announced that Univision Deportes was rebranded TUDN.
